So not the most successful day but I can’t give up. Today I will be focused on the Kindle Boards for my marketing activity. I have only sold a couple of my new book Necklaces & Nooses. I wonder if the cover is too “thriller’ and not enough “chick lit’ your opinion???

So yesterday proved that some of my marketing efforts have lasting effects. I sold 2 books while watching a marathon of Law & Order reruns.
Today I am going to try and drum up some business with interacting on the Nook boards.

So only 1 sale for the day which like I said yesterday still excites me, it’s one more reader that is going to read my book. However, I had hoped the momentum of my Kindle Nation Daily would go a little further. Today’s marketing activity is to comment on at least 3 blogs of other authors. That type of activity builds exposure and maybe sales. We will see.

I was happy to still sell 7 books without the Kindle Nation Daily promotion going on and absolutely thrilled I finally sold a Kindle copy of my new book Necklaces & Nooses. Each book I sell is exciting for me.
Today for my marketing activity I am going to interact on my different Facebook groups for authors I belong to. Wish me luck?

Clearly the Kindle Nation Daily promotion for Stilettos & Scoundrels gained me good momentum. I went from a sales rank of about 115,000 to about 4200. Obviously, that gives me higher visibility and is a win-win all the way around. I can’t wait to see how today goes and if the momentum continues.
Now for Necklaces & Nooses. I haven’t found the magic formula for this one as I still stand at a big fat ZERO in sales. However, it’s all about persistence so today my marketing activity will be posting my book on Craigs list in two major markets.

So my Kindle Nation Daily promo for Stilettos is still gaining momentum but promoting Handbags & Hooligans via Linked In didn’t jump start any sales.
Today my marketing activity is using Twitter to promote the new book. Can’t wait to see what happens.

I am so excited to start off my 30 day marketing focus with you. Though to be honest I get excited the first couple days of everything that’s my problem and the one I am trying to improve with this 30 challenge.
Yesterday I did a Facebook promotion with Kindle Nation Daily. The promo sent a blurb about Stilettos & Scoundrels, the first book in the Presley Thurman mystery series, to over 29,000 Kindle Nation Daily Facebook fan page members and will do the same today and tomorrow. This promotion gained me the following in sales:

Today my marketing activity will be promoting Necklaces & Nooses on my writers Linked In groups. I have sold 3 more Stilettos books this morning from the Kindle Nation Daily add so hopefully that momentum will continue.

I have strengths and I have weaknesses. I also have shiny object syndrome which can be a strength or weakness depending on how you look at it. I am an idea person. You could lock me in a room and say come up with 100 ideas or you can’t leave and give me about 30 minutes and I could do it. Tell me to plan how to execute those ideas and I could do that. Piece of cake. Tell me to actually execute one of those ideas from start to finish and I may never get out of the room. Why? Because about half way through I get focused on the next thing and lose my ability to be consistent. I know I do this so you would think I could fix it. In thinking about how my lack on consistent focus could be hindering my ebook sales because I don’t market the way I should I decided to try an experiment.
I read one time that it takes 30 days to make something a habit so I thought if I committed to 30 days of marketing for my books Stilettos & Scoundrels and Necklaces & Nooses and blogged about what I was doing each day and the result I gained it would help me make a good habit. I will depend on you my wonderful audience to hold me accountable to this daily blogging of what I am doing and I encourage you to take the 30 day challenge with me if there is something you need to make a good habit comment on this blog and lets do it together!
I have created a plan that consists of 30 easy to execute ideas to market my books. So starting tomorrow, November 1st and not stopping until November 30th, I commit to myself to execute one idea a day for thirty days and track and share the results I gain.
