Tillie Moore’s Halloween Pet Costume Contest was supposed to be the event that put Sweet Haven’s Paw Paw’s Pet Bakery on the map. Instead, it became a crime scene.
When contest winner Bobby Cleary is found dead just moments after his victory is announced, Tillie is forced to trade her apron for a detective hat. Now, she’s temporarily caring for the victim’s fiercely loyal Cane Corso, Mr. Cuddles, a magnificent dog that might be worth more than gold.
Between navigating a killer who targeted her event and solving the mystery of why Mr. Cuddles seems to attract trouble, Tillie must uncover the truth before the killer decides she’s too close for comfort.
